Visit by The Archbishop of Canterbury

As part of the Centenary Celebrations for The Diocese of Coventry, the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby made a four day visit to Coventry and Warwickshire. We were very honoured that he chose to visit our school as part of his visit.

During his time as the vicar of St James Church he was a regular visitor to the school and three of his children actually attended our school. It was lovely that Mrs Welby was also with him. Therefore, as you can imagine, it was a real privilege to welcome them back and the children enjoyed a fun and interesting assembly with them. Mrs Welby told a very amusing story of how Archbishop Justin reacted on being given the news he was to become the next Archbishop of Canterbury. This was in answer to one of the very thoughtful questions the children had come up with to ask Archbishop Justin.

It was certainly a very special afternoon for our school.
